Computer Skills Training

Computer Skills Training is designed to provide individuals with the specialized software skills necessary for employment in any administrative support position.

Individuals enrolled in the Computer Skills Training Program recieve training designed to perpare them for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification testing at the Core level.  Individuals may choose to pursue certification in any or all of the Microsoft Office Suite applications.

The program allows the individual to choose which application(s) to pursue certification with as well as what additional areas of focus that they would like to develop greater skills.

Training includes self-paced and instructor led periods which enable the individual to build skills in the application chosen in preparation for the MOS certification testing at the Core level.  Additionally, individuals have the opportunity to build administrative support skills such as proofreading, business writing, dadt-entry, professional telephone skills, and filing.

VGS is authorized to administer the Microsoft Office Specialist certification test.
