Habilitation Specialist I – E. 55th St. (M-F, 7:30am – 3:30pm)
Responsibilities:

Assist individuals referred from CCBDD in the Custodial Work Adjustment Program. Develop and implement programming designed to increase daily living skills and personal and social adjustment. Work side-by-side with participants through each day to assure thorough job completion and appropriate cleaning technique. Check in with all participants frequently throughout the shift. Provide on-the-job guidance toward development of target behaviors. Execute individual habilitation plans using behavior change techniques. Participate in the quarterly reviews of participant’s progress. Keep detailed daily records, including case notes, data sheets and transportation logs. Contribute information to the monthly reports regarding participants’ progress. Prepare all individual case files in accordance with VGS and CARF requirements. Supervise lunch and break activities.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing custodial skills training for participants referred by CCBDD. Assist individuals with the development of appropriate job-keeping behaviors, task analysis, and skills to complete specific job tasks, natural supports, and the identification and implementation of reasonable accommodations at the job site. Job coaches assist the program supervisor in the development of an Individualized Success Plan for each participant, and are responsible for implementing the success plans to aid participants in achieving measurable objectives. Job coaches implement the appropriate positive behavior interventions and support techniques to enhance each individual’s success.

Assistant General Manager of Production Sewing – E. 55th St.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting the General Manager in the operation of the Production Sewing Department and Contract Shop East with a combined annual sales of approximately $3 million. Assist with supervision of 7 direct staff and 60+ hourly employees. Responsible for contract procurement and developing positive relationships with customers. Procure contracts that ensure steady workflow and the department’s financial viability. Prepare bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required. Negotiate contract with customer or bidder. Requests or approves amendments to or extensions of contracts. Ensure that all production schedules and quality standards are met. This includes production planning, cut planning management and shop loading schedules that support shipping requirements. Inspect for quality and control of contracts and is responsible for insuring quality meets/exceeds customer parameters. Purchase program/contract supplies and equipment. Responsible for accurate and timely billing of products provided. Maintain appropriate records to assure financial accountability. Within 6-7 years must be able to potentially assume the position of General Manager.

Program Manager – Triskett Facility
Responsibilities:

Supervise and assist individuals with Developmental Disabilities to learn and improve vocational skills. Use paid and simulated work to modify individual work behavior by bringing about achievements and maintenance of acceptable work attitudes, habits and productivity. Monitor all production duties in the department including set-up, quantity and quality checking, work assignments and necessary paperwork. Use modeling techniques to instruct individuals and groups in proper work methods and positive work behaviors and how to improve work quantity and quality. Develop and instruct downtime and work skill activities.

Develop, design, implement and revise service plans including long and short-term measurable goals and objectives. Participate in annual IP meetings. Complete all required paperwork such as monthly reports, consumer plans and documentation, program evaluation forms, detailed case notes etc. Interview and hire staff as needed and ensure they meet all Agency and Medicaid requirements. Evaluate staff performance, including providing feedback to and disciplining staff and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Act as an advocate for the client on the job site and provide employers with information on effectively working with individuals with disabilities. Implement appropriate positive behavior interventions and support techniques to enhance the client’s success. Provide clients with travel training services to aid them in their vocational success. Job Coach services may extend beyond normal agency business hours, 8:00-4:30, and on weekends as necessitated per assignment. Schedule is flexible based on the Job Coach’s availability. Position schedule will vary in total hours and daily shift, however 20 hrs per week average is expected to start but may range from 0 – 40.
