Available for Adoption |
|
Many of the animals we work with are not up for
adoption either because they will be returning to their original
families once the emergency keeping them apart has passed, they are not
domesticated and live at our colony, or are spending time recovering
from what life previously had to offer at foster homes and foster
facility sites.
Listed below are the animals we are working
with that are either available for adoption or will be at some point. If you are interested in exploring adopting one of
them, please contact
Emily by clicking on her name or
calling 216 881-6007 for more information.

Name: Cadence
Size: Medium
Age: 8 Months
I am an adorable and sweet kitty that LOVES people. I'm flexible
and easy going. I love just about everyone I meet and adore
playing and purring.
I'm playful and
affectionate. I am always ready for a cuddle but also am a playful
little girl! I particularly enjoy games that involve prey like
chasing items on those fishing pole toys and hunting down play mice.
At first I was a little unsure of other animals but my foster mommy has
shown me that they are nothing to be worried about. I now get
along just fine with my foster families companions, which include both
dogs and cats.
I'm really a beautiful
little girl. I have lovely green eyes and the softest grey and
white fur. I always use my litter box and am am up to date on all
of my vaccinations. I've even already been spayed so I'm ready to
go home! I've been waiting
to go to my forever home for a while now. A donation of $35.00 is
being requested to help offset the cost of my medical care.

Name: Jack Size: Large - 74 Pounds
Age: 5 Years Breed: Akita Mix
Ruff! I'm Jack. I am
an imposing looking fellow but at heart I'm nothing but a gentleman.
I am a 74 pound Akita mix with an amazing temperament. I LOVE everyone I
meet (but am of course reserved). You can tell that I'm a fan because my
tail just wags like crazy at pretty much everyone I meet! I also have
learned that when I sit great things happen so now I will walk up to
people and sit for a nice pet!
I have been neutered and up to
date on all my shots. I caught on to house training super fast. My
favorite activities are relaxing in a nice dog bed and following around
my human friends. I like to go for walks and am doing pretty well with
leash training. I mastered sit and am crate trained. But between you and
me, i really don't need to be crated. I love a good rawhide from time to
time but am not at all destructive.
Other dogs are fine with me.
My favorite dogs are older ones like me who. We can sit together or lie
on beds near each other and keep each other company on nice walks in the
backyard.
I've been to the dog park and boy is that a great
place to visit with people!
I am not a fan of cats - they seem
like such strange creatures to me. I love a nice blanket on the floor or
a dog bed. I have no interest in getting on the furniture.
I'm
about 5 years old and am ready to go home! Someone was not nice to me in
the past - i have some scars but that's all behind me now.
I'll
be a great companion! Please give me a chance and contact my friend
Emily by email or at 216 881-6007. A $50 donation is requested to help
offset the costs of medical care.

Name: Millie Size: Large - 85 Pounds
(overweight)
Age: 4 Years Breed: Boxer Lab Mix?
Hi! My name is
Millie! I was rescued when my time ran out at a shelter. Due to a
thyroid issue I weighed 112 pounds when I was rescued. I'm now down to
only 85! I do need to loose some more weight but I'm doing fantastic.
I am great with other dogs and FANTASTIC with kitties. I'm
currently living at a women's prison and even sleep on my bed with a
couple of the kitties.
I like to play and am great on a nice
walk. I am just fine with steps and am completely house trained. I enjoy
a nice rawhide from time to time and am not destructive.
Affectionate and sweet, I love everyone but give people that seem to
mean my people no good a nice big bark.
I'll be a great
companion! Please give me a chance and contact my friend Emily by email
or at 216 881-6007.
I will most likely need to take a thyroid
pill for the rest of my life, but the medication is not expensive. I am
also currently on Rymadyl (the extra weight is hard on my joints).
A $50 donation is requested to help offset the costs of Millie's
medical care.
